Types of Lingerie....which one are you?

There are many styles of lingerie on the market today. Each has it's purpose and many women may have several types in her drawer depending on the design of her clothes to meet the needs for that day. Here are some of the more common types of lingerie available today:

The Babydoll
This is a short, sometimes sleeveless and loose fitting piece made of sheer or translucent material. It's used mostly as a nightgown and sometimes includes a matching pair of underwear or loose fitting skirt short in length usually between the belly button and the upper thigh.

The Teddy
The teddy (sometimes called a camiknicker) is a single piece garment that covers the torso and crotch all in one.

This piece can be worn under clothing combining the function of a camisole and panties thus avoiding any visible panty line. Available in many types of materials, this can be a very sexy and visually appealing piece of lingerie to own.

The Camisole or "Cami"
The camisole is a sleeveless, loose fitting piece of lingerie that is typically made with very thin straps. It's design allows it to be worn underneath clothing to add support and a bit of sexy to the outfit. Usually made from cotton or occasionally in satin, silk and form fitting fabrics such as lycra or spandex. This lingerie is also showing up as outer wear - if you dare.
